Big Hearts. Bigger Paws. Lions of Liberty
π¦ Every βLionβ begins as a heartbeat in need of healing, some rescued, some raised... all destined for purpose.
π Through gentle guidance, patient training, and endless love, our Lions grow into companions who guard, comfort, and empower their humans.
ποΈ When the time is right, they stand beside veterans, first responders, and survivors.. not as pets, but as protectors of peace and freedom.
πΎ Because sometimes, the best therapy is wrapped in fur, faith, and friendship and it walks beside you on four paws. β¨
π Every gift helps feed, train, and celebrate our Lions-in-training.
What We Do πΎ
Every βLionβ we raise carries a story of rescue, redemption, and restoration. They are living symbols of strength born from brokenness, hearts that have learned to love again. π¦π
Across faith and history, the lion has always stood for courage, protection, and divine power. From the Lion of Judah who reigns in love, to symbols of bravery and kingship in many faiths. The lion reminds us that true strength is both fierce and gentle.
We call our service dogs βLionsβ because they embody that same spirit of holy courage. They stand beside the hurting, the healing, and the hopeful. Guiding with loyalty, serving with compassion, and loving without condition. πΎβ¨
Each Lion is a sign of liberty, a friend who helps break the chains of fear and trauma. Together, they remind us that healing is not just survival. It is rising again with faith, peace, and purpose... one paw, one prayer, one heartbeat at a time. β€οΈ
Active Programs β
Rescue & Rehab
Many of our βLionsβ begin as rescues. We provide medical care, structure, and love β guiding each pup from fear to trust. No dog is too broken to be redeemed; each one is a living testimony of restoration.
Training & Task Work
Using humane, positive methods, our trainers prepare each dog for service β from grounding during panic attacks to retrieving medication and interrupting nightmares. Every βLionβ learns skills designed for real human needs.
Mobile Outreach Unit
Our Mobile Unit will bring comfort to children with disabilities, veterans, and trauma survivors who cannot travel. Through playdates and therapy visits, we deliver joy, companionship, and healing where itβs needed most.

Retreat & Match
Our future retreat and training grounds will allow each candidate to live, learn, and heal alongside their βLion.β Training will be tailored to individual needs while participants find renewal through Andreaβs Hands of Healing.
Lifelong Support Network
Once a βLionβ is placed, our support continues for life β offering handler coaching, refresher courses, and community events that keep every partnership strong and supported.
Sponsorship & Legacy
Each kennel, training station, and outreach trip exists because of generous supporters. Sponsor a dog, a kennel, or a retreat program β your name will live on our Donor Wall as a guardian of hope.
βTo love, to protect, to heal β that is the heart of every Lion.β π¦π
Why It Matters π
Behind every βLionβ is a person learning to live again. Struggles like PTSD, anxiety, and grief canβt always be seen... but they can be understood with love, patience, and faith. Each story below opens a window into what healing looks like β click a card to learn more about how our Lions help bring hope, comfort, and courage back to life. ποΈ
How Lions Help Heal πΎ
Every Lion is trained not just in skill, but in empathy. They sense distress, bring calm, and remind their person that peace is possible again. β¨
Panic Interruption
When anxiety rises, a Lion intervenes with touch, grounding presence, and calm focus.
Safety Buffer
In crowded spaces, Lions create a safe bubble of calm and confidence for their handler.
Nightmare Response
Trained to wake their handler from flashbacks or nightmares, bringing light into the darkness.
Emotional Grounding
Lions sense emotional shifts and provide warmth, pressure, and presence to restore peace.
